According to Faisalabad Region Police, the overall crime rate witnessed a significant decline of nearly 70 percent between December 2025 and March 2026 under the leadership of RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhera.
The reduction in crime has been attributed to intelligence-based policing, targeted operations, and a special crackdown against organized criminal networks launched across the region. Police officials stated that coordinated efforts and strict enforcement strategies played a key role in improving the law and order situation.
Official statistics revealed remarkable decreases in several major crime categories. Incidents of robbery dropped by 85 percent, while motorcycle snatching cases decreased by 66 percent. Motorcycle theft cases saw a decline of 62 percent, whereas car theft incidents were reduced by 57 percent during the reported period.
Police authorities also claimed to have solved 26 “blind murder cases” that had previously remained unresolved. Investigators reportedly used modern policing techniques and intelligence-led operations to trace and arrest the suspects involved.
In addition, a large-scale anti-narcotics campaign was carried out over the past three months, resulting in the registration of more than 3,233 cases against drug dealers. Several proclaimed offenders were also arrested during these operations.
Further actions led to the arrest of 5,584 proclaimed offenders and the dismantling of 256 criminal gangs operating in different districts of the Faisalabad Region.
Police officials described these achievements as part of an ongoing effort to restore public confidence, strengthen security, and maintain peace across the region.
